The conference was extremely successful with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, the World Health Organization, important partners in the field of eye care and protection and the participation of the private business sector.

According to statistics from the International Organization for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), as of 2020, there are more than 14 million Vietnamese people with uncorrected low vision. The majority of people with refractive errors and do not have access to glasses fall into the low-income group.

In fact, seeing clearly has brought positive effects in many aspects of life, including work. Poor eyesight will reduce labor productivity, thereby directly affecting people's income.

At a time when the global economy has many fluctuations and affects the attraction of foreign investment, the issue of flexibly using all tools to improve quality of life and increase labor productivity is extremely necessary. 

Realizing that, VisionSpring is present with the mission of being part of the solution with a commitment to support low-income workers in Vietnam, especially those who do manual jobs such as factory workers and farmers. and craftsmen.

At the event, participants discussed to identify challenges and propose solutions to increase Vietnam's eyewear coverage rate to reach the target of 40%.

Attending the event, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang - Specialist of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, representing the Ministry of Health, reiterated "The implementation of the national strategy on preventing blindness and improving the quality of eye care in 2016." -2023", thereby setting out goals from comprehensive to specific, detailed as well as plans to be implemented in the coming period:

"I hope to increase people's access to services." Preventing, early detecting, treating and restoring eye function, reducing the rate of preventable diseases that cause blindness, striving to eliminate the main causes of blindness for all people, especially every person. Millions of blind people have the right to see as recommended by the World Health Organization on vision goals 2020".

As a social enterprise, in the past 5 years (since 2019), VisionSpring has examined nearly 150,000 workers, distributed more than 60,000 pairs of eyeglasses and set a goal of providing 50,000 examinations each year. Support low-income workers in Vietnam.
Along with that, VisionSpring also emphasizes a series of goals and visions that the organization wants to achieve:
