Mr. Tran Tuan Anh is pleased to welcome Minister Janet Yellen to visit and work in Vietnam in the context that the two countries are celebrating 10 years of establishing a comprehensive partnership; Affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to relations with the United States; Appreciating the achievements and major developments in the two countries' relations, which have brought practical benefits, in line with the aspirations of the two peoples; Thank the United States for cooperation and support for Vietnam in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; Expressing his belief that Vietnam-US relations will soon rise to new heights for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the Asia-India-Pacific region and around the world.

He shared that the two countries have signed many important cooperation agreements and are actively building the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, coordinating closely in regional and international forums such as ASEAN, APEC, WTO...; Appreciating the strong development of economic cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, two-way trade turnover in 2022 is a record high; said that the potential to attract abundant and high-quality FDI capital from the United States to Vietnam is still very large. He expressed his hope that the two sides would strongly promote and deepen cooperation in economy, science, technology, trade - investment, finance and banking, cooperation in ensuring supply chain, infrastructure and new fields with great potential such as logistics, digital economy, green transformation, health, sustainable agriculture, etc. energy conversion and environmental protection; At the same time, he proposed the US Department of Finance continue to work and coordinate closely with Vietnam, continue to objectively and appropriately evaluate the results of Vietnam's monetary policy management, thereby contributing to promoting stable and favorable economic - trade - investment relations between the two countries.
